The short answer
Receiving Ethereum USDT requires support for that exact token and chain. Having an EVM-style address is not enough.

USDT is the asset; ETH pays standard transaction gas
Ethereum gas measures computational work. The transaction cost depends on gas used and the applicable gas price. A token transfer and an interaction with a more complex contract need not use the same amount of gas.
An exchange's fixed withdrawal charge is a platform price, not necessarily the gas consumed by your withdrawal. Compare net received amounts and identify any ETH cost paid separately.
Verify the contract before the logo
Use Tether's official supported-protocol entry for Ethereum. Compare the full identifier in the wallet or service interface, rather than just the first and last characters of a ticker-labelled token.
The contract address identifies a token; it does not certify the website presenting it. Check the service's operator and custody terms independently.
Same address format does not mean same destination
Ethereum and other EVM networks can use similar address formats. A receiving platform may nevertheless credit only its explicitly supported network and token. Do not assume it can recover another chain's deposit.
If the desired output is on TRON or another chain, this is not a same-chain USDT transfer. Identify the crosschain step and any asset representation it produces before comparing the price.
Is an ERC20 USDT mixer safer or more private?
ERC20 specifies a token interface, not a security rating. Ethereum USDT mixers, tumblers and blenders still need an identifiable custody model, withdrawal conditions and evidence for privacy claims. A correct USDT contract does not authenticate the website presenting it.
The chain records transactions. Connecting an address to a person requires additional evidence, but a new address or a third-party transfer does not establish that the link is impossible. Tether's restrictions are separate from the service's registration policy.
You cannot deliver ERC20 USDT on TRON by choosing a TRC20 destination in a form. The intended recipient must accept Ethereum USDT, or a separately supported conversion must produce the required asset and network. If you already used the wrong network, ask the receiving platform about its recovery policy; do not assume a recovery is available.
ERC20 USDT: separate gas, token and crediting
Ethereum gas is paid under Ethereum's network rules, while a provider may deduct a separate USDT charge. The receiving account must accept the issuer-listed Ethereum token; an ERC20 interface elsewhere is not a substitute.
A block explorer can show inclusion and token movement. It cannot establish that a service has processed the withdrawal, that the recipient will credit it or that a mixer claim is effective.
What Ethereum can verify about a USDT service
Tether's protocol reference identifies USDT on Ethereum; an explorer can show the token transfer and transaction status. Neither source authenticates a mixer or reveals its off-chain records. A tumbler or blender label is a service claim, not an Ethereum token standard.
Match the exact token and recipient instructions before comparing a quote. ETH gas, a service deduction and the recipient's credited balance are different parts of the transaction. The same EVM address format does not make deposits interchangeable across networks.
